If you would like copies of the Brief Guide, just let us know:
ierg-ed@sfu.ca. (If you want 10 or more copies, we would be grateful for some help with the mail costs.)
The Brief Guide was written by one of our Research Assistants, Owen Tyers. Owen is also a Ph.D. student in the S.F.U. Faculty of Education.
The Brief Guide is 12 attractively illustrated pages, and gives a clear overview of Imaginative Education, beginning with a series of FAQs. It provides a simple description of how the basic theory regarding the kinds of understanding is evident in the process of education, and how they relate to the cognitive tools that are crucial in developing those kinds of understanding. There is also a brief overview of areas of current IE activity around the world.
The Brief Guide is designed to be our new “calling card.” Please feel free to request a copy or two or three, and suggest other who might like copies.
