Welcome to HERG!
On January 24th. And 25th. 2008 the Holistic Educational Research Group was formally inaugurated at a conference at LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Sean Blenkinsop and Kieran Egan of IERG were invited speakers.
The HERG conference included many good friends of IERG, including its organizers Peta Heywood, Bernie Neville. We met a number of old friends fro IERG conferences past, including Jeanne d'Arc Gaudet, and those stalwarts and magical dancers on a number of our conference cruises Andrea Gallant and Philip Riley. Noel Gough and Jack Miller from OISE were also invited speakers. The photo shows a few of the delegates at the dinner on Jan. 24th., entertained by some irreverent songs, which clearly didn’t distress Peta, in white in the centre of the picture.
With champagne, at the end of the first day, the Holistic Educational Research Group was officially inaugurated. It plans to move quickly to forming a refereed journal, and the organizers invited those who presented papers to submit them for publication. IERG member, too, may wish to submit papers to the new journal. They can be sent to HERG
