Our aim is the transformation of the experience of schooling to something more imaginatively engaging and emotionally satisfying for students and teachers alike. To that end we have developed theories, principles of curriculum, and teaching practices all aimed at moving closer to that ideal.
Our aim is the transformation of the experience of schooling to something more imaginatively engaging and emotionally satisfying for students and teachers alike. To that end we have developed theories, principles of curriculum, and teaching practices all aimed at moving closer to that ideal.
This Newsletter is intended to keep you informed about the programs and progress of Imaginative Education (IE) both here at the IERG at SFU, Canada, and also in the many other sites around the world where work is being done to improve teaching and learning by using procedures to engage imaginations and emotions in learning about the wonders of our world and experience.
Remember, we would like to hear from you about your work, so please don’t be shy about telling us. We would like each newsletter to highlight topics you will find interesting, so email your questions, suggested themes, and current research projects to newseditor@imaginativeeducation.org. We would also like to encourage submissions of imaginative teaching lessons and topics.
Best wishes,
Kieran Egan
