  • It’s great stuff! I was exposed to it through the article in Educational Leadership and I am now reading the book. It makes so much sense! Thank you for your great work! Dave Bell (Texas)

When I started to use IE several years ago now, that I tried it out in a few lessons here and there, was amazed at the success and then began to look for other areas and subjects in which I could use the Lesson Planning Frameworks and other aspects of the theory. Pamela Hagen.

This section offers resources for teachers interested in learning more about Imaginative Education or trying it out in their classrooms.  We offer Imaginative Education planning frameworks designed to engage students' imaginations in learning from primary school through college.  Example lesson and unit plans based on these frameworks are also available. To assist teachers further, we have added a Teacher Tips section that provides brief as well as more detailed descriptions of each cognitive tool employed in the frameworks and examples from diverse subject matter areas.

Teacher Voices:  Hearing From Imaginative Education Educators

You may be wondering what it's like to use the Imaginative Education approach in the classroom.  What happens when the emotional engagement of students guides teaching and learning? Click on the names provided below to hear from teachers that employ a cognitive-tools and, thus, an imagination-focused, methodology in their classrooms.  (If you are interested in learning more about our Network of Imaginative Educators (NIET), or becoming a member, please click HERE.)
